History
The Mental Health and Disease Nursing doctorate program was opened on 06.05.2020 by the decision of the Higher Education Board (YÖK). It started to accept students in the Fall Semester of the 2020-2021 Academic Year.

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D.) in Mental Health and Diseases Nursing
Admission Requirements
These criteria are announced before every semester and are set by the Department's decision and approval of the Institute of Health Sciences.
Higher Grade Transition
Specialist psychiatric nurses with a doctorate can apply to university academic staff announced in Turkey/abroad.
Graduation Requirements
Reaching the level of average limit to be graduated by completing the dissertation thesis.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates
They work as clinical officers and executive nurses in Ministry of Health, University and Private hospitals of nurses specialized in Mental Health and Disease Nursing / Psychiatric Nursing. They can work as academicians in the faculties of Health Sciences of the universities, in the Department of Psychiatric Nursing in the Nursing Schools, in the departments of nursing, midwifery and health officers in Health Schools.
Assessment and Grading
The evaluation criteria for the exams, which are in accordance with the current university regulations for education, are set by the instructor for the given course.
